That is why we wrote and will continue to revise Texas Gun Law:
Armed And Educated. It is a one-volume guide to the minimum
law every gun owner needs to know to stay on the right side of
the law. Whenever appropriate, we tried to present useful analysis
and real-world applications. Our goal was to explain the “law” so
gun owners could inform and educate themselves. Thousands of
attorney hours have gone into producing this resource, always with
the goal in mind of education. Our collective legal experience has
taught us that anyone can become ensnared in the legal system.
Many people firmly believe that “it” can’t happen to them. Even
people who have never been in trouble before find themselves
in the world of statutes, court, prosecutors, and law enforcement
through ignorance of the law.
We are committed to helping protect Second Amendment rights for all
legal gun owners. It is our passion and our mission. We want people to
know the law, because only through eternal vigilance will we protect
our cherished right to bear arms. If you own a gun, the laws concerning
firearms and their use apply to you. Ignorance of the law is not a valid
