establishments that elected not to post 30.06 or 30.07 signs,
leaving those establishments vulnerable to frivolous lawsuits. In
effect, this provided incentives for businesses to adopt restrictive
policies against the carrying of handguns by law-abiding citizens.
In 2019, the legislature passed a law that states that evidence of a
property owner’s failure to forbid handguns carried by LTC holders
on certain property will be inadmissible in certain civil lawsuits.

E. TABC “blue signs” repealed
As of September 1, 2021, all “blue signs” are
repealed and no longer have legal meaning.
Constitutional carriers may carry into grocery
stores, liquor stores, gas stations, and restaurants
that sell alcohol so long as other trespass notice
is not sufficiently provided. In short, even if you
see these “blue signs” after September 1, 2021,
you may disregard.
